Work-In-Progress
With Lia Rousset and Carla Duarte
Work-In-Progress re-activates the relationships between people and the materials associated with dwelling, clothing, and food within an urban environment. Three scaffolds paired with three carts creates a performative and durational work that can move between the gallery and the sidewalk. Each scaffold/cart pairing takes one material and recrafts, repurposes, and reimagines it to question our historic understand of the materials we consider cultural building blocks: clay, fiber and seeds.
