Converse
Converse is the first solo exhibition to combine elements of my collaborative work with my long term research project on dishware titled Past Present Perfect. Each work points to a very specific moment in the ongoing act of living. Collectively, these works reference elements of basic survival — food and shelter. The exhibition includes pieces from two of my collaborations — the Tea Project with Aaron Hughes and Treacle with Joseph Madrigal — in addition to elements of Past Present Perfect. The works provide glimpses into my research-based practice that involves collaboration with other artists, materials and histories.
